Golden nuggets: Forward Together

✨ I just wrapped up my 12th year emceeing the Forward Together CA conference at TELUS Harbour—and I’m still buzzing with inspiration.

This incredible annual conference never fails to leave me filled with wisdom, energy, and deep appreciation for the power of women coming together. Here are just a few golden nuggets I’m walking away with this year:

🔹 Don’t leave out the messy and vulnerable parts of your story—they’re often the most beautiful.
🔹 Trust is earned by being real.
🔹 Ignorance isn’t bliss—it’s blind.
🔹 Silence should never be safer than the truth.
🔹 When self-worth creeps in, treat it like a checkpoint, not a stop sign.
🔹 You are not what you do.
🔹 Being best for the world is more powerful than being best in the world.
🔹 You don’t have to set yourself on fire to keep others warm.
🔹 Judgment is the tax you pay for standing out.
🔹 We are perpetually in draft mode. Don't wait for perfection to publish.

💥 A massive thank you to our incredible speakers—Tracy Tong, Annette Kingsley CHRL, Angie Kim-Miskuski, Andrine Johnson, Liat Horovitz, Robyn Ptak, and Hayley Wickenheiser—for sharing your stories with such vulnerability and courage. You made us feel seen and reminded us just how universal our challenges (and breakthroughs) really are.
