Forward Together - key takeaways

It was an honour to emcee the 11th Forward Together CA conference at TELUS Harbour this week!

My 10 key takeaways: 🎯
1️⃣ Shift your focus from figuring out the right answers to figuring out the right questions.
2️⃣ Don’t lock yourself into one future – be open to a variety of futures and outcomes.
3️⃣ Be clear on your purpose and values – and navigate the ambiguity of the future by making choices that reflect the things that you care about.
4️⃣ There must be equity before there can be equality.
5️⃣ Sometimes you do have to be the first or only in the room – do not let that stop you.
6️⃣ Do not listen to the negative narrative inside of yourself – it is often the most damaging and the one that holds you back most.
7️⃣ Curiosity and courage need to co-exist to have a truly brilliant career.
8️⃣ It often takes big, scary leaps to transform your career.
9️⃣ Every setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and come back better.
🔟 Lead with your strengths vs. your fear.
