Tell Love Stories - a new movement

A beautiful seedling can grow into an international movement, when given a little love.

Sunday marked the Toronto launch of the Tell Love Stories dinner. Over the past few months, similar dinners have been held in Miami, Los Angeles, Nairobi, Washington DC, and Minneapolis. The next one is happening in London, England.

When attending a dinner, guests often want to contribute in a meaningful way and ask what they can bring. For these dinners, the request is to bring a love story. A love story could be a long story or a micro story, personally experienced or witnessed, about self-love or love for another, about love lost, discovered or perhaps rediscovered – the expressions are endless. Every love story is welcomed and gratefully received.

What began as a seedling of an idea by Tracey Ivanyshyn and lovingly shared with Patrice Webb, Trivinia Barber, Irene Pace, Maria Dakas, and myself in a CADRE DC, LLC committee meeting has quickly taken on a life of its own as it grows in reach and executional format, and is nurtured by an ever growing international community of friends and family who have been moved by its mission.

Thank you to Derek Coburn, Melanie Coburn, Jayson Gaignard and Mike Brcic for creating such beautiful containers in which seedlings such as this are given the perfect conditions to flourish. Thank you to Alon Ozery for the beautiful venue.
